Walking Tours

MIA Historic Walking Tour

The Moorestown Improvement Association runs a series of Historic Walking Tours throughout our beautiful downtown. Usually scheduled for the fall and the spring, the tours are planned and conducted by architect Kimberley Bunn, AIA, and Lynne Schill.

A different neighborhood is featured each season in a guided tour that highlights a variety of history, architecture, stories of the past, and hidden gems.

The Fall 2014 Walking Tour took participants down one of the oldest sections of East Main Street between Chester Avenue and Mill Street.

The Spring 2015 Walking Tour will highlight West Main Street between Mill and Church — with a little Second Street at the end.

The Walking Tours are open to the public. The Moorestown Improvement Association suggests a $5 donation per participant to support the mission of the MIA, Moorestown’s longest-running non-profit.

Bunn and SchillAbout the Tour Guides

After five years of tours ranging throughout numerous neighborhoods in town, Bunn and Schill were inspired to publish their knowledge! The pair authored the newest installment in the Images of America series of books from Arcadia Publishing that spotlights local histories: Images of America: Moorestown.
